LEEDS, UK - 12 August 2011. Proxima, Europe’s largest procurement outsourcing specialist, announces that it is relocating its Leeds office to 1 East Parade, Leeds, LS1.

Proxima has had a regional office in Leeds for seven years, from which it services some of its leading clients, including a top four supermarket chain, Siemens, British Council and Four Seasons Health Care.  Its relocation has been brought about by the growing demand for Proxima’s specialist procurement expertise as major corporates increasingly focus on indirect procurement as a means of protecting and enhancing underlying profitability at a time of slower top line revenue growth.

Proxima has signed a five-year lease for the entire seventh floor at 1 East Parade and will occupy the office from 15 August 2011.

Commenting on the move, Edward Winterschladen, Managing Director of Proxima’s Leeds office, said:

“This relocation represents the steady increase in activity we have been undertaking for the past few years and is indicative of the opportunity that we believe the region presents.  We have an excellent team in Leeds, working with a strong portfolio of clients and our new premises will enable us to enhance further the service we deliver.  It also demonstrates our commitment to Yorkshire as a business destination as we look to build our presence here going forward.”

Kevin Roberts, Strategy Director, Four Seasons Healthcare, one of Proxima’s northern based clients, added: “Proxima has supported Four Seasons for the past 12 months and together we have built a partnership that continues to grow.  This relocation to larger and more client-focused premises is a clear sign that the value that Proxima brings to clients is being increasingly acknowledged and an indication of a growing focus on indirect procurement among British industry more widely.”
