CHICAGO, IL – 13 FEBRUARY 2012. Proxima, Europe’s leading procurement services provider, has today announced the latest step in its expansion plans with the opening of its first office in the United States.
Proxima has made the move on the back of a successful on-going client assignment and a firm pipeline of new contracts that are due to commence in 2012. The company expects to increase its North American operations substantially this year and has dedicated significant investment to developing its platform in the market.
From its office in the Willis Tower, Proxima will offer its broad range of procurement services to businesses throughout North America, building on the considerable performance enhancements it has enabled in the UK and continental Europe. Proxima’s rapid growth to date has been fuelled by the increasingly strategic role that the company plays within its clients’ organizations. Taking the procurement function beyond the traditional remit of cost savings to sit at the heart of an organization’s decision-making process, Proxima works with clients to enable change, enhance management control and visibility of costs, and transform buying behavior. The results of this approach are sustained, long-term improvements to profitability and shareholder value for its clients.
Proxima achieves this by delivering the detailed, up-to-date knowledge across a wide range of specialist categories that few companies can maintain in-house. Proxima’s innovative approach means it is ideally positioned to offer solutions that enhance operational and financial performance, even during the most challenging market conditions.
Matthew Eatough, CEO of Proxima, said “Expanding our business in the United States presents a considerable and unique opportunity for Proxima. Tough economic times necessitate a closer look at the way that businesses deploy operational expenditure and the results that we have already delivered in the US build on our extensive European client base. Our clients have been able to weather the economic turbulence all the better for a transformation of their cost base and this also stands them in good stead as the economy improves.”
“We have a distinctive approach, enabling each client to generate long term, sustained improvements by redefining their understanding of what procurement can deliver and using these extraordinary results to help them power their business.”
“This approach has already delivered extraordinary results for our US clients, where we currently manage more than $2bn of spend, with improvements often considerably outperforming traditional cost reduction measures.”
